Like Mother, Like Son

We never said Asa didn't have good taste! Actually, I think we said he didn't discriminate when it comes to taste, but I digress. He sure has picked up Mama's love for sweets. And I'm cool with that! :-)

Fantastic Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day with many dads - Dada, Pops, Uncle Todd, and Uncle Reese. Of course, we celebrated with the ladies, too - Mama, Aunt 'Risa, GAMY, and Aunt Alex. The day started (as it normally does on the weekend) at the park! Then, a quick nap (for us all) and off to GAMY's house for a feast of a brunch. We spent some time with Pops before he headed back to KY in the early afternoon. Then we wondered, "What to do with this beautiful day?" We got real wild and crazy with an 'above ground pool' and a makeshift water slide from our backyard playground! :-) It was tons of fun. So much so that Aunt Alex, Uncle Reese, and cousin Addie came over to play with us. See all of the Dada's Day pics here!

Our trip was OFF THE HOOK

We had a great trip to Charleston, SC. We went up for Nikki & Hayes' wedding, but turned it into a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in Mount Pleasant and visited downtown Charleston and Sullivan's Island. Nikki and Hayes' wedding was located at the Charleston Harbor and Marina, so we got gorgeous views of the water and boats. Nana came along to help with Ace while Drew and I attended wedding events. All around, our trip was off the hook! For many more pics, click here!

Stone Mountain Cookout

MJ cooked it up something fierce today at Stone Mountain. We had bbq chicken, ribs, hot dogs, corn on the cob, and pineapple - all on the grill. You'd think he was prepared to feed an army, but he just knew we were bringing Asa! :-)

We had a wonderful day with the Johnson family (soon to be party-of-four), Emily & Ethan, and Auntie Chich. The food was great, but the company was the best. Today was a good day!

Even after a wardrobe change, Ace went home sweaty and dirty - a true sign of a successful picnic!
