Blog CULT Leaders

We've converted them!!! Hahaha - the Pellegrinos are officially bloggers. I love it. Others (who will for now remain nameless) have also been hinting that they'd like to come over to the 'dark side' and blog about their families - let me be the first to encourage you! It's a lot of fun and many people can keep track of you that could never before. Folks always mention Zbeeb Zoology and they stay current in our lives, even if we haven't seen them in months!

Pellegrino Antipasto is now live - visit them, leave them comments, and stay up-to-date on the lovebirds. Also, their blog is now permenantly posted on our site under "Cool Links" on the left-hand column.

Enjoy!

Two Years Young

Andrew surprised me with a weekend getaway to Savannah for our 2nd Anniversary! It was the perfect weekend - and it was great to get out of Atlanta and away from our everyday hustle and bustle, as of late.

Of course, we saw Andrea and Victor while we were there. For more pics of our weekend, click here.

Ever wonder what I do???

I don't talk much about my job - I like to leave it there! :-) However, today was one of the biggest days of the year - the ATDC Entrepreneurs Showcase. The planning and execution of this annual event is one of my responsibilities as the Membership Manager at ATDC (Advanced Technology Development Center). It takes about 6 months of prep, 2-3 months of serious planning, and weeks of full-time dedication to pull off.

This year, we had about 675 people register to attend (over 150 from last year - and by far the most ever). Today, we had approximately 425 people show up (rain may have kept some folks away, but this is still 125 more than attended last year - and, again, more than ever before).

The ATDC Entrepreneurs Showcase consists of a VIP Luncheon - an invitation-only event that includes venture capitalists, CIOs, our sponsors, and ATDC members; a Graduation Ceremony - we graduated six members this year (they've spent several years in our incubator and have reached milestones to graduate - over a million in revenue, traction to sustainability, and/or millions in fundraised dollars); and also the Entrepreneurs Showcase - where our members set up booths (similar to a tradeshow) for the public. Yes, that was a mouthful - and all this happens in one day.

For pics of my day, click here. This isn't all I do - my job has many facets, but event planning is definitely a strong aspect. I just thought I'd share the biggest event of the year.

Happy Mother's Day!

Probably the most relaxing Mother's Day of the rest of my life... Todd came to K'Wood for lunch and then we met Ryan for a for a quick Kodak moment. Thanks to the men in my life for making it a special 'fetal' Mother's Day. :-)

Payton is 8!

On Cinco de Mayo, Payton Presley turned 8... I can't believe I've known this child since she was born! My, my, my. She invited me to her pottery painting birthday party - and we all had a blast. Of course, I couldn't hang for the all girls sleepover (pregnant women don't last much past 10pm), but they told me when I left that they were going to "party like animals". I'm sure they did!!! Happy Birthday, Miss Payton!

Elijah helped lick the candles! What else are little bros good for!

Payton shows off her awesome pottery painting skills!

The Connell's

The Connell family is doing great - Clair and Laine will be 6 months old at the end of this month. Time flies with one, but soars with two! Mom and Dad, though still a bit sleep deprived, are looking good! The whole fam hopes to make it up late this summer - we can't wait to see them.

1st MAJOR Baby Purchase :-)

Okay - so normally you come here to find updates on the Zbeeb family and our pets. Today, I am deviating from the norm - you are getting a SHOPPING update. If you know me, you know I get real excited about certain purchases - and this one is no exception - it's my 1st major baby purchase and I just had to share it! (Crazy... I know, I'm a Zbeeb!)

Yesterday, I bought the most awesome diaper bag! Yes, diaper bag. How is that major, you ask? This bag rocks! It is top of the line - beautiful leather, gorgeous bronze color, insanely functional with multiple compartments, a changing pad tucked underneath, and the handles even come off and switch around to attach to the baby stroller! Plus, when I'm all done with it being a diaper bag, I get to take the lining out and use it as a carry-on or large purse. I love it - I'm excited - you can laugh, but this was a good buy!!! Enjoy the pics!
