Ever wonder what I do???

I don't talk much about my job - I like to leave it there! :-) However, today was one of the biggest days of the year - the ATDC Entrepreneurs Showcase. The planning and execution of this annual event is one of my responsibilities as the Membership Manager at ATDC (Advanced Technology Development Center). It takes about 6 months of prep, 2-3 months of serious planning, and weeks of full-time dedication to pull off.

This year, we had about 675 people register to attend (over 150 from last year - and by far the most ever). Today, we had approximately 425 people show up (rain may have kept some folks away, but this is still 125 more than attended last year - and, again, more than ever before).

The ATDC Entrepreneurs Showcase consists of a VIP Luncheon - an invitation-only event that includes venture capitalists, CIOs, our sponsors, and ATDC members; a Graduation Ceremony - we graduated six members this year (they've spent several years in our incubator and have reached milestones to graduate - over a million in revenue, traction to sustainability, and/or millions in fundraised dollars); and also the Entrepreneurs Showcase - where our members set up booths (similar to a tradeshow) for the public. Yes, that was a mouthful - and all this happens in one day.

For pics of my day, click here. This isn't all I do - my job has many facets, but event planning is definitely a strong aspect. I just thought I'd share the biggest event of the year.
