Family Gathering

Written by Melissa

Over the holidays, we all came together for a family gathering. Jim, Heather, and Ariana were in town visiting Grandma Pam and Grandpa Chip. Also in town were Heather's brother, Shawn, and his wife Bella, as well as Heather's Aunt (Pam's sister), Cris. It made for a nice big Italian get together at a local Italian restaurant (where they were surely ready to get rid of us by the time we left).
Ace was very excited to see his sister. He had made a card for her in his own words, "Ariana, I love you. Asa" - as Jim said, it was one for the scrap books for sure.

With his time with Ari, Asa didn't miss a beat. He wanted to hold Ari, feed her, change her - all-around love and caretake for her. Not to mention, open all of her gifts for her.

Lunch was great, but the company was the best. Ariana is now a certified chunky monkey and we were glad to see all her fat rolls when changing her in the family restroom. We were blessed to meet more of the folks that will be a huge part of Ari's circle. She is a lucky girl - and we are lucky to have been introduced to this new world because of her. My only regret was not getting a picture of all 6 of us, but when we are spending time together sometimes you just live in the moment and forget the camera. [Not next time, though. :-)]

More pics can be seen here.

I am in love with each and every one of you. I'm profoundly grateful to be a part of your lives.
I'm also grateful to have received a birthday card and picture from Miss Ariana (and, of course, Heather and Jim!) Thanks too to Melissa and Co. for birthday greetings on this blog birthday.
Tons of love, Cousin Ann

I am sorry we did not get a picture of all six of us, also. We sure had an opportunity. Next time for sure! Ariana and ourselves are grateful for all the love and wishes that you all brought along with you. Our family, as well, were happy to be able to meet the new members of our family. They now know how we had such an immediate connection, and how we will undoubtedly be able to raise Ariana together as one big family. Love you all, the Michalski's
